The Debacle
“Will you go to the south city?”, Victor asked the auto driver. The driver took an askance at him and blurted “Are you going for an interview?”. Yeah! Victor startled a little. “60 bucks”, Driver said again. He stood quiet for a moment, 40 rupees was all he had in which he had to cover all his way’s outlay. “Ok Leave”, he said politely and began striding towards his destination.
Sun had positioned higher in the sky, its incense was hitting right away to his forehead and the hot drought of air was making him feel like a red blast of the desert wind. Wiping his sweat coming out from his forehead he was unceasingly heading towards his destination as if it was the ultimate goal of his life he was going to hit. His white attire had already wet at all. But not taking care of these all he had walked around 3 km of distances before he reached the destination.
An impressive and gigantic building made him a little fidgety; nevertheless, he stepped in. A white-colored girl having eyeglass looking decent was sitting at the reception. She took his resume; pointed to sit on the couch and went inside. He could have felt his own pulses by his inner self that increasingly throbbing as soon as the time was getting closer.
“Are you Victor?”, A pretty voice disrupted his attention. “Ohhh yeaaaah yeahhh I am”, he wobbled and followed her with the said voice “come with me”…
“So, you have done BTECH!”, a French cut fairly white middle-aged man sighed as though he has just come out from slumber. “Why did you come in this field albeit you have done BTECH?”, he blundered out again. “I found myself fond of writing so”, Victor replied. “Then why didn’t you go for mass communication or pursued these sorts of courses?” Victor had no answer, he became speechless. The interviewer showered a pool of questions before him henceforth and said to leave for the day; you would be called back soon. Having said thanks Victor swiftly walked out from his office. It didn’t take him a bit longer to perceive that he has not been shortlisted.
No fright, no hesitation, and not a bit of sorrow now for not being selected. Taking an amble through the road he set out for his home again with double vigor. Indifference from pain and pleasure, he was striding fast. Ultimately, he has to prepare for another debacle until he conquers….
