You do believe that success comes at a great price and that price is nothing else but our hard work, dedication, and having a firm determination to get what we want. The same you will watch in the movie ‘The Walk’. It is a true story of a high-wire artist, Philippe Petit (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). He has dreams of being an expert in tight rope walking since his childhood. He tries to walk on his own in papa Rudi Show. He is spotted and Papa Rudi starts teaching him tightrope walking. He has the ambition to achieve the impossible, precisely the things which have never been done by a rope walker. He makes a team and walks between two temples that have considerable heights. He succeeds and now plans to walk between the world’s highest buildings ‘World Trade Centre’. He attempts, tries to follow the plan, and ultimately he succeeds to walk between the world’s highest buildings in adverse circumstances. He creates a history of rope walking that has been never done before.
No doubt, The Walk is a masterpiece. It is an extremely realistic & immersive inspiration story. In one scene when his girlfriend tells to leave because walking between world’s two biggest building is dangerous, he says, ‘ why you are feeding death in my mind, it’s not what I think now, I am only thinking about making a plan, walking on the rope, and create a history’. The way he tries to make a plan to sneakily enter the World Trade Centre and tie the rope between the two buildings is sensational. It gives you Goosebumps when he is narrowly saved from falling from the world’s highest building. He never gives in despite the adverse circumstance and he succeeded in the last. This definitely a must-watch movie. Even if you’re not a movie buff or you want to watch just one movie, go for ‘The Walk’.
IMDb Rating 8.8/10
Motivation doesn’t only enhance our energy but also encourages us to do the impossible. Forrest Gump, a simple man with a low I.Q. but having good intentions, does the same in the story of ‘Forrest Gump’. His leg is supported by a rod. In childhood when kids throw stones at him and his best friend Jenny encourages him to run, he starts running despite the iron rod in his leg. He runs and wins and since then he keeps running and motivating people. His mama teaches him the ways of life and leaves him to choose his destiny. He joins the army for service in Vietnam, finds new friends, wins medals, creates a famous shrimp fishing fleet, inspires people on his way, writes bumper stickers and songs, donates to charity, and meets the president several times. However, despite the huge success, he only thinks about his childhood friend Jenny Curran, who has messed up her life.
In his ways, Forrest motivates people to live life however they want. One of his dialog that ‘life is full of chocolate box, who take which one, nobody knows it’ will touch your heart. Ultimately, he also proves that anyone can love anyone in his/her life.
The Pursuit of Happiness
